"Titania" Project Concepts (2017)

Presentation: Traditional sketches, along with digital line touch ups, for the concept of the project.

The idea behind the Titania Project was to create a design for the famously fabled Queen of Faeries. However, in the story for the project, the name "Titania" is a title that each Empress of the Fae bears and she is much different compared to her folklore counterparts.

The design for the this Titania was meant to stand out or be the opposite from the popular design of Fae -typically a beautiful woman with butterfly wings, dressed in gowns made up of leaves or petals. The idea was to have her as a Moth Fae, while her appearance is rather "disheveled" yet still regal in royal robes.

True Form Ideas Sheet #1
"Crown" is based on a headpiece of Hathor, an ancient Egyptian goddess who is a rather fitting symbolism for this Empress in particular.

Wings are constantly active in these ideas.

2nd Concept - Sheet #2 (Additional rough pencil sketch of full body)
This concept instead gives her a more "wilds" look -which may be befitting of a moth.

She no longer has the crown either, instead having longer antennae -almost resembling horns.
